Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive Tokyo

On arrival at Tokyo’s Narita international airport you will be met by your guide and escorted to your hotel by Private coach.

 

Day 2

Tokyo Tour (B)

Following breakfast you will be met at your hotel to embark on a day tour of this bustling and energetic city. You will take in the popular landmarks including Senso-ji Temple and Nakamise street, one of the oldest shopping streets in Japan, in Asakusa, enjoy the view from the observation deck at Tokyo tower, the communications and observation tower measures 332.9 metres and is the second-tallest structure in Japan. Stroll in Ginza district, the luxury shopping and entertainment district of Tokyo and visit Meiji-Jingu Shrine. Return to your hotel.

Day 3

Mt. Fuji and Hakone - Atami (B/D)

Today you will have a full day tour to Mt. Fuji and Hakone. The tour includes spending time at Mt. Fuji 5th station (if weather permits), visiting the historical Hakone Sekisho and learn about the past at this old imperial checkpoint. Enjoy a leisurely cruise on Lake Ashinoko and take the Komogatake Ropeway which is a Japanese aerial lift that offers spectacular views of the surrounding areas. Finally you will be transferred to your hotel in Atami. Enjoy a traditional Japanese dinner and hot spring at your hotel.

 

Day 4

Atami - Hiroshima (B)

Please leave your luggage (1 piece per person) at your hotel’s bell counter or front desk at 07:30am. Pack a small bag for your stay in Hiroshima and Osaka. Your luggage will be transferred to the hotel in Kyoto. After breakfast walk to the train station with your tour guide and take the bullet train to Hiroshima via Shin-Kōbe (a guide will help you changing trains at Shin-Kōbe). Upon arrival at Hiroshima station, you will take a coach tour of Hiroshima City. Places of interest that you will visit include Peace Park, Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum and the Atomic Bomb Dome. Finally you will be transferred to your hotel.

Day 5

Hiroshima – Miyajima - Osaka (B)

In the morning take the 10 minute ferry to the island of Miyajima. On arrival you will walk to Itsukushima Shrine, best known for its "floating torii gate”, which is one of the most photographed locations in Japan. Spend time walking to the other sites located on the scenic island. Finally you will take the ferry to Miyajimaguchi and transfer to Hiroshima Station. Take the bullet train to Osaka. Upon arrival at Shin-Osaka station, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 6

Osaka - Nara - Kyoto (B)

After breakfast at the hotel, you will visit Osaka Castle. The construction of the castle started in 1583 and is surrounded by secondary citadels, gates, turrets, impressive stone walls and moats. Later you will transfer to Nara. You will visit Todaji Temple (Great Buddha), the picturesque Nara Park, home to hundreds of freely roaming deer and Kasuga Taisha Shrine. Finally you will transfer to the cultural city of Kyoto. Spend some time strolling in Gion district. After the tour you will be transferred to your hotel.

Day 7

Kyoto (B)

Today you will have a day tour of Kyoto. Places of interest that you will visit include Nijo Castle which was built in 1603. Spend time at Kinkakuji Temple (Golden Pavilion), Ryoanji Temple, the site of Japan's most famous rock garden, and the stunning Kiyomizudera Temple. Built in 780 in the hills east of Kyoto, this celebrated temple offers wonderful views of Kyoto. After the tour you will be transferred to your hotel.

Day 8

Kyoto - Takayama (B)

Following breakfast you will be transferred to Takayama by private coach. With its riverside setting, Takayama, commonly referred to as Hida-Takayama, is surrounded by nature with the Northern Alps (Hida mountain range) providing a scenic backdrop. Upon arrival, you will have an afternoon sightseeing of Takayama and visit Kami Sannomachi Street, Takayama Jinya, and local Sake tasting. Finally you will be transferred to your hotel.

Day 9

Takayama - Shirakawa-go - Kanazawa (B)

In the morning you will visit the Miyagawa Morning Market, located along the Miyagawa River in the old town. You will be transferred by private coach to the village of Shirakawa-go, famous for preserving the traditional Gassho-zukuri style houses. At this world Heritage Site you will visit the Gasshozukuri Minkaen Outdoor Museum (Wadaya), followed by some free time before visiting Shiroyama Observation Deck which offers a panoramic view of the village. Finally you will transfer to Kanazawa. The rest of the day is at your leisure.

Day 10

Kanazawa - Nagoya (B)

After breakfast you will have a Kanazawa city tour. Places of interest that you will visit include one of the best and visited landscape gardens in Japan called Kenrokuen. Spend time at Utatsuyama, Higashichaya old town, Ninjya Temple and Kutaniyaki Museum. Finally you will be transferred to Nagoya by private coach.

Day 11

Nagoya - Tokyo (B)

Please leave your luggage (1 piece per person) at your hotel’s bell counter or front desk at 07:30am. Your luggage will be transferred to the hotel in Tokyo. After breakfast at the hotel, walk to Nagoya Station with your guide and take the bullet train to Tokyo. Upon arrival at Tokyo Station, you will be transferred to your hotel by private coach. Rest of the day is at your leisure.

Day 12

Departure (B)

After breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to Narita / Haneda International Airport by private coach for your onward flight.
