Chiang Mai - Chiang Saen – Chiang Rai – Hmong Hill tribe – Chiang Mai

 

Itinerary

Day 1

Chiang Mai – Chiang Rai – Chiang Saen (L/D)

Upon arrival drive to Chiang Rai via Wiang Pa Pao with a stop at Karen village and Hot Springs. Continue to Chiang Saen and visit Wat Phra Dhat Jom Kitti and take a speedboat on Mekong River towards the Golden Triangle.

 

Day 2

Chiang Saen – Doi Mae Salong – Mae Sai – Chiang Rai (B/L/D)

Drive Mae Sai and visit a Jade Cutting Factory, a colorful market, Fish and Monkey Cave and continue to Doi Mae Salong. Visit Akha, Yao and Lisu Tribes and proceed to Chiang Rai.

 

Day 3

Chiang Rai – Thatorn – Hmong Hill tribe Lodge (B/L/D)

Take a motorboat for a trip on Kok River, passing tiny hill tribe villages, bamboo huts and jungle scenery. Visit a Lahu hill tribe village and village of Ban Pha Tai. Enjoy BBQ Dinner and a show of Meo dances and songs.

Day 4

Hmong Hill tribe Lodge – Chiang Mai (B/L/D)

Visit an Orchid Farm. After lunch, visit various Handicraft Villages. Proceed to Chiang Mai. Enjoy a Kantoke dinner with traditional dances from Northern Thailand.

Day 5

Chiang Mai (B/L)

Visit Chiang Mai, including Wat Phra Singh, Hill tribe museum and Wat Doi Suthep.
