After breakfast, meet your guide at the lobby of the hotel for a half day Muscat City Tour. Visit Grand Mosque, one of the largest Mosques in the world and at one time, it can accommodate 20,000 worshippers. Grand Mosque has beautiful art work, chandeliers and one piece carpet covering entire prayer hall. (Conservative dress, covered from head to toe. Ladies have to cover their head with a scarf. Grand Mosque is open for the tourists from Saturday to Thursday from 08:00 hrs to 11:00 hrs). After the tour of Grand Mosque, embark your vehicle and leave for Bait Zubair Museum passing by the Diplomatic area. Bait Zubair Museum was initially founded as a house by a rich merchant, who had a hobby of collecting antiques and doing photography. Later, he converted his house to a Museum in 1998 showcasing the culture and artefacts of Oman.

After the visit of Museum, continue your drive to official palace of His Majesty, Sultan Qaboos. Al Alam Palace is flanked by two Portuguese fort Jalali and Mirani. Jalali Fort has been completely refurbished and now used as a Museum for guests of State and Royal Family. This will be an outside photo stop only as visit to Palace and Fort is not possible due to security reasons.

After lunch in Muscat depart for The View. Upon arrival in Al Hamra enjoy a visit to a local village, see an ancient Falaj System and a local date farm. Dinner and overnight at The View hotel.

Day 2

Al Hamra – Nizwa – Wahiba (B/L/D)

After breakfast gather at the lobby level and meet your guide and driver to embark your four wheel and leave for the visit of Nizwa. The Oasis city of Nizwa was once the capital of Julanda Dynasty in the 6th and 7th Century AD. Today it remains as the most popular tourist attractions with its historical buildings and imposing fort. Visit to Nizwa Souq. Every Friday, there is cattle market at the souq wherein cattle sellers auction their cattle to locals. The souq is also famous for silver work especially hand crafted Omani Khanjar.

After the visit of Souq, walk towards the Nizwa Fort. Visit the Nizwa fort with its enormous round tower built in the 17th century by Imam Sultan Bin Saif Al Ya’ aruba to defend the route to the interior. The fort dominates the entire area, with the town having grown around the edifice. Access to the top is only by means of a narrow twisting staircase barred by heavy wooden doors, studded with metal. From the top of the tower one can get a bird’s eye view of the Nizwa city. After the tour of Nizwa Fort and Souq embarks your four wheel and continue your drive to Wahiba via Birkat Al Mauz, a place where locals grow date palm trees. Walk through the old village and farms of date palm trees.. Lunch at Local Restaurant

The ‘Wahiba Sands’ often described as a perfect example of Sand Sea consists of large ranges of dunes running from North to South, some attaining a height of about 100 mts and orange in colour. Our experienced drivers will take you through the undulating sand dunes. Arrive at Wahiba and check in at 1000 Nights Camp. Dinner and overnight at Camp.

Day 3

Wadi Bani Khaled is a complete contrast to Wahiba as it is a natural oasis in desert. This Wadi has lots of plants and trees with greenery all around. Enjoy a walk in Wadi or swim in natural green water oasis (no towels provided). Enjoy lunch at Local Restaurant, embark your four wheel and drive towards Sur. Check-in to Ras Al Jinz Hotel (Turtle Reserve). Dinner at the Hotel.
