This tour perfectly combines the United Arab Emirates outsized lavishness with Oman’s outdoor magnificence. Taken together, they offer an exciting glimpse into the modern Arab world, a place where the past and the future lives side-by-side. Explore the vast, deserted dunes of Wahiba Sands, haggle with goldsmiths in Abu Dhabi’s Gold Souk, gaze out from the observation deck atop the 160-story Burj Khalifa and enjoy a BBQ dinner in a campsite, after an adrenaline ride through the desert.

Itinerary

Day 1

Dubai

Arrival in Dubai and transfer to hotel.

 

Day 2

Dubai (B)

This morning you will go for a full-day tour of Dubai, during the first half you will visit the modern Dubai side and drive-by Dubai Marina and the Palm. After visiting Burj Khalifa you will proceed to the older side of Dubai and visit the beautiful bastakiya area and ending the tour at the Gold Souq. Afternoon at leisure.

Day 3

Dubai (B/D)

Morning at leisure. This afternoon you will be picked up in a 4 x 4 vehicle and the famous Desert safari tour. You will be driving across beautiful oceans of towering sand dunes to arrive at the local camel farm. After a high adrenaline dune bashing adventure, you reach the traditional Arabic camp, where a BBQ dinner is served in a torch-lit ambience with a belly dancer, who performs to the rhythm of the captivating Arabic music under a galaxy of stars.

Day 5

Dubai – Sharjah – Ajman – Dubai (B)

This fascinating tour takes you to the two emirates of Sharjah and Ajman. Sharjah is the cultural metropolis within the United Arab Emirates and the third largest state. Carefully restored old areas are as impressive as the museum or the central souk, which harbours about  500 shops and is directly located at Sharjah’s lagoon. Another famous landmark is the King Faisal Mosque, which is the biggest mosque in Sharjah and was built to honour King Faisal of Saudi Arabia, who was responsible for financing the development of Sharjah before the discovery of oil. The neighbouring City of Ajman is famous for its ship building industry. The magnificent museum, housed in an ancient fort, was once the residence and seat of government of the ruler of Sharjah. This museum gives intriguing insights into lifestyles before the changes brought by the discovery of the oil

Day 5

Dubai – Abu Dhabi (B)

Departing from your hotel, we drive two hours to reach the capital, where our first stop is a photo opportunity at Ferrari World, the first ever Ferrari branded theme park. A truly memorable experience awaits at the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, the largest mosque in the UAE and the eighth largest mosque in the world. Prepare to be amazed by the incredible architecture on your tour around this majestic place of worship.

Continuing your historic journey, we drive to the Heritage Village, where Emirati traditions come alive in reconstructed villages, charming scenes, and authentic exhibits. Stroll through a replica fishing community, shop for souvenirs, and watch traditional artisans demonstrate their skills as you get a glimpse of simplicity before the discovery of oil. From there, we drive through the city’s exclusive Al Muteena area passing by luxurious residences and private palaces on the way to Emirates Palace Hotel.

Day 6

Abu Dhabi – Al Ain (B/L)

Today drive to Al Ain, it is also an extremely fertile region, rich in greenery with numerous farms, public parks and important archaeological sites. You will visit Al Jahili Fort and its adjoining fortress. Al Jahili Fort has been a cultural focal point of activities associated with philosophy and heritage of Al Ain in the Garden City. You will also visit Mount Hafeet - which provides breathtaking views of the extensive desert below.

Day 7

Al Ain – Nizwa (B)

You will cross over to Oman and drive to Nizwa, and visit Oman’s famous Nizwa Fort and Souk. Nizwa Fort with its enormous round tower built in the 17th century by Imam Sultan Bin Saif Al Ya’ Aruba to defend the route to the interior.

 

Day 8

Nizwa – Wahiba Sands (B/D)

Proceed to Wahiba Desert Enroute visit of Wadi Bani Khalid. Which is a stark contrast to Wahiba sands as it is a natural oasis with a lot of greenery.  Later proceed to Wahiba Desert also described as a perfect example of Sand Sea consists of large ranges of dunes running from North to South, some attaining a height of about 100 meters and orange in colour.

 

Day 9

Wahiba Sands – Muscat (B)

Drive to Muscat, en route visiting Wadi Tiwi, Wadi Shab, Bima Sinkhole, later stop at Quriyat Village, a very large fishing village between the lagoon and the sea. The fishermen sell their fresh catch in the market, located on the beach.

Day 10

Muscat (B)

Today you will go for a half-day tour of Muscat and visit Grand Mosque, old Muscat, Muttrah and drive through the waterfront corniche to visit Bait Al Zubair Museum. Your final stop will be the official palace of His Majesty, Sultan Qaboos. Al Alam Palace is flanked by two Portuguese fort Jalali and Mirani. Jalali Fort has been completely refurbished and now used as a Museum for guests of State and Royal family.

Day 11

Muscat (B)

Transfer to the airport.

Note: Normal check-in time in Hotels vary from 1300 hrs to 1500 hrs. Room allocation earlier than that is subject to availability at the time of your arrival; to guarantee room allocation on early morning arrival, we can pre-book the room from previous night or we have deals with certain Hotels, who can provide check-in at 0700 hrs at a nominal charge.
