The journey commences in Hanoi, the capital city, where you will be treated to a walking tour of the historic Old Quarter. As you travel south, you will discover the quaint fishing villages, scenic rice paddies, ancient temples, and bustling trading ports that make Vietnam such a unique destination. Don't miss the chance to experience the hidden gems of the Mekong Delta before you relax on the beautiful beaches of Phu Quoc Island, where you will have two days to unwind before heading back home.

Itinerary

Day 1

Hanoi

Arrive in Hanoi transfer to hotel. Later procced on a one hour cycle tour followed by a visit to Temple of Litrature.

Day 2

Hanoi (B/L)

Explore Ky Son Village and visit Moon Garden for a cooking demo with lunch. Set out on a bike ride to Duong Lam Village with photo stops. Visit Mia pagoda, some old houses, the Mong Phu communal house and Ngo Quyen & Phung Hung temples before returning to Ky Son Village. Drive back to Hanoi.

Day 3

Hanoi – Mai Chau (B/L/D)

Transfer to Mai Chau. Bike through rice paddies in the Mai Chau Valley which is dotted with stilt houses. The ride offers opportunities for taking photos, visiting families, and interacting with the locals.

Day 4

Mai Chau – Ninh Binh (L)

Leave Mai Chau for Ninh Binh. Start your exploration with a leisurely bike ride (~5km) through paddy fields to visit Dong Tam Village and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Take a sampan ride through Tam Coc.

Day 5

Ninh Binh – Halong Bay (B/L/D)

Drive through rice paddies to Halong Bay. Board a junk for a cruise among the hundreds of islets of Halong Bay while enjoying lunch. Drop anchor in the evening for an overnight stay among the dramatic limestone peaks rising out of the sea.

Day 6

Halong Bay – Boat Cruise – Hanoi – Hoi An (B)

Take a morning cruise through the limestone cliffs and emerald waters of Halong Bay before returning to the dock. Return to Hanoi and straight to the airport for flight to Danang. Transfer to Hoi An. 

Day 7

Kim Bong Cycling – Hoi An Walking tour (B)

Enjoy a boat cruise to Kim Bong Village to visit a shipbuilding yard and cycle through the village with stops at old colonial houses, temples, and local cottage factories. (Cycling distance: 8km). In the afternoon, you will be led on a walking tour to visit an ancient merchant house, the Phuc Kien
Assembly Hall and the vibrant riverside market.

Day 8

Hoi An – My Son Holy Land – Hue (B)

Leave for My Son, the famous holy land of Cham people with great structure of towers had been built from 4th to 13th century. Admire the best brick sculpture in the world and learn about the influences of Hinduism to their culture. After the visit, drive on to Hue. Afternoon free.

Day 9

Hue (B)

This morning, cycle to the outskirts of Hue and visit Thuy Bieu area where the old Royal Tiger arena and the Voi Re temple (Elephant temple) located. Visit the elaborate mausoleum of Tu Duc and the Vong Canh Hill for a view of Perfume River. Cycle downhill to the riverbank where take a drive by car to go on the excursion to the Imperial Citadel. The spectacular Citadel (which was built in accordance with strict principles of geomancy) houses a series of palaces, ornate halls, libraries, residences, and colleges.

Day 10

Hue – Ho Chi Minh City (B)

Transfer to airport for flight to Ho Chi Minh City. On arrival, visit the amazing Cu Chi Tunnels that are a labyrinth of narrow passages used as hideouts during the war.

Day 11

HCMC – Ben Tre – Can Tho (B/L)

Leave the bustle Ho Chi Minh City and travel to rural area of Mekong Delta. passing through rice paddies and vast waterways. Enjoy a typical Mekong Delta lunch served at a villager’s house. Drive to Can Tho City.

Day 12

Can Tho – Ho Chi Minh City – Phu Quoc Island (B)

Enjoy a morning boat cruise to the Cai Rang Floating Market which is full of small boats that deliver goods from other villages. Observe lively activities of merchants trading their produce as well as enjoying the seasonal fruit before returning to Ho Chi Minh City for the flight to Phu Quoc Island.
