Itinerary

Day 1

Luang Prabang

Arrive In Luang Prabang and transfer to your hotel. Afternoon tour visiting spectacular Wat Xieng Thong, the former Royal Palace, the National Museum, wander Wat Khili and the ‘Traditional Arts and Ethnology Centre’.

Day 2

Luang Prabang (B)

Today you will head out of town to visit Pak Ou cave, then do a boat ride on the Mekong River. Stop at Wat Done Khoun temple, a unique temple before continuing to Luang Prabang.

Day 3

Luang Prabang (B)

Visit jaw-dropping Kuang Si Waterfall. Stop at the Sun Bear Reserve, a conservation centre that rescues animals from the wildlife trade. Visit Laos Buffalo Dairy to see their processes and produce.

Day 4

Luang Prabang - Phonsovan (B)

Early morning witness a procession of young monks walk silently by, collecting sticky rice and other foods in their bronze bowls. Drive to Xieng Khuoang enroutte stopping at HuayHia and at Ban Son Boom, a Hmong village.

Day 5

Phonsovan (B)

Proceed to Muang Khoun, once royal seat of the kingdom of Xieng Khouang. Transfer to the PhouXang Viewpoint, to enjoy the panoramic sceneries and a beautiful sunset!

Day 6

Phonsovan – Vang Vieng (B)

Drive along picturesque winding roads to Vang Vieng and enjoy the views of the sky darkening over the river, surrounded by mountains.

 

Day 7

Vang Vieng (B)

Enjoy the scenic wonders of Vang Vieng at your leisure on this free day.

 

Day 8

Vang Vieng – Vientiane (B)

Drive to Vientiane and visit Wat Sisaket, Hor Pha Keo and Emerald Buddha. End your day at That Luang, the holiest site in Laos and its national symbol.

 

Day 9

Vientiane – Pakse – Paksong (B)

Transfer to the airport for flight to Pakse. Afternoon, easy trek through coffee plantations, villages and to the beautiful Tadlo Waterfall.

Day 10

Paksong – Champasak (B)

Travel to the ancient ruins of Wat Phu, a temple complex that pre-dates Cambodia’s famous Angkor Wat by a couple of hundred years. Afternoon at leisure.

 

Day 11

Champasak (B)

Transfer to Ban Hatsaikhone and take a boat for a tour of the 4000 Islands. Reach the picturesque Don Khone and visit Li Phi Waterfalls. Return to the mainland, visiting the spectacular Khone Phapheng Falls.

Day 12

Champasak – Pakse (B)

Transfer to Pakse for your flight back home.
