Itinerary

Day 1

Kuching

Arrive at Kuching International Airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure.

 

Day 2

Kuching (B)

Today proceed for Kuching City Tour. Drive to see the gigantic cat statue, the mascot of Kuching City at Padungan before crusiing through China town. Stop at Tua Pek Kong Temple and also pass by traditional Malay houses built on stilts. Pass through the Clock Tower and visit Sarawak Museum before returning to the Hotel. Evening depart to the jetty and enjoy a relaxing cruise along the Sarawak River. After the cruise, return back to Hotel.

Day 3

Semenggoh OrangUtan Centre - Bidayuh Longhouse - Kuching (B/L)

Today drive from Kuching to Semenggoh Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre. Here, the orang utans are being nurtured to readapt themselves to the jungle life. After Semenggoh, depart to Annah Rais, a Bidayuh Longhouse. Tour the longhouse with your guide and observe the leisure-paced lifestyle of the natives. Proceed to nearby Hot Spring to relax and have a dip in the hot spring. After tour, return to Kuching. Afternoon, free at own leisure.

Day 4

Kuching - Bako National Park (B/L)

Morning, pick up from your hotel in Kuching and depart for a 45 minute drive to Bako Fishing Village. Continue by boat for a 30 minute cruise along the coast to reach Bako National Park. Visit the Park’s information centre and follow the trails to look for proboscis monkeys and other wildlife. After lunch, explore the park for bird watching and other wildlife. Journey back to the jetty for boat ride to Bako Village and return to your hotel.

Day 5

Wetland Wildlife Cruise (B)

Morning at leisure. in the late afternoon, depart on a drive to a local Malay village located within Kuching Wetlands National Park. This tour takes you to cruise along the mangrove river towards the South China Sea in search of the elusive Irrawaddy dolphins (sightings depend on tidal conditions). Continue cruise along the river in search of the fascinating wildlife inhabiting the river mouths and mangrove forests. This is where you begin with a thrilling experience when sighting any estuarine crocodiles. Cruise along the mangrove to look for the Proboscis monkeys. The tour concludes with an amazing experience gazing at the fireflies that light up the darkness on mangrove trees (weather permitting). After cruise, return to hotel.

Day 6

Sarawak Cultural Village (B)

Morning, pick up from your hotel and proceed to Sarawak Cultural Village. The award winning Sarawak Cultural Village is a unique “living museum’ on a sprawling 17 acre site. It has seven representative ethnic houses with natives residing and making handicrafts. A trip here will enable you to gain a comprehensive insight into colourful traditions and cultures of the various races in Sarawak. Watch daily live performances highlighting the many vibrant dances of the people of Sarawak. After tour, transfer to your hotel at Damai Beach

Day 7

Damai Beach (B)

Free at own leisure to enjoy the beach and resort facilities.

 

Day 8

Departure (B)

Transfer to Kuching Airport for your departure flight.
