Itinerary

Day 1

Kuching (D)

Arrive at Kuching International Airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure. Enjoy dinner at Seafood restaurant.

Day 2

Kuching (B)

Today proceed for Kuching City Tour. Drive to see the gigantic cat statue, the mascot of Kuching City at Padungan before crusiing through China town. Stop at Tua Pek Kong Temple and also pass by traditional Malay houses built on stilts. Pass through the Clock Tower and visit Sarawak Museum before returning to the Hotel. Evening depart to the jetty and enjoy a relaxing cruise along the Sarawak River. After the cruise, return back to Hotel.

Day 3

Kuching – Batang Ai Longhouse Resort (B/L/D)

Today drive from Kuching to Semenggoh Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre. Here, the orang utans are being nurtured to readapt themselves to the jungle life. Continue journey to Batang Ai, along the Pan Borneo Highway, passing through the beautiful sceneries of rural villages, towns and gardens of pepper, rubber and rice fields. After lunch, proceed to the final stage of the journey and arrive at the beautiful Batang Ai Lake. At the jetty, you will take a ferry across the lake to reach the Aiman Batang Ai Longhouse Resort. After checking in, the rest of the day is free at your own leisure, to enjoy the many facilities at this resort. Dinner and overnight at Batang Ai Longhouse Resort

Day 4

Batang Ai National Park (B/L/D)

Proceed with a scenic longboat ride to Batang Ai National Park. Depart on a nature trail to learn about the vegetation in the forest. Have a cooling dip in the clear water of the river while lunch is prepared traditionally in bamboo by the Ibans at the river bank. Enjoy picnic lunch. Later return to Aiman Batang Ai Longhouse Resort.

Day 5

Iban Longhouse Excursion – Kuching (B/L)

Morning proceed by boat to Batang Ai Jetty. Continue by van to the Lemanak jetty where the Ibans will take you on a 45 minutes longboat ride up the Lemanak River to their longhouse. The highlight of the visit will be the Welcoming Ceremony by the Ibans as an appreciation of the visit to their longhouse followed by a demonstration on using a blowpipe. Continue with the Ibans on a short trek through their plantation; see their animal trapping methods and their burial grounds. Boat ride back to Lemanak jetty followed by drive back to Kuching with stopover for lunch. Transfer to your hotel

Day 6

Kuching (B)

Transfer to Kuching Airport for your onward flight
