Keiv – Lviv – Odesa - Keiv

 

Explore the golden roofs of Keiv and fall in love with the cultural highlights of Lviv, and get acquainted with the astonishing history of Ukraine.  Start the tour of the capital of Ukraine, Keiv, head to Lviv – a true hub of Ukrainian culture. Continue to the port city Odesa and visit the beautiful castles, ending the tour back in Keiv.

Itinerary

Day 1

Keiv – Chornobyl – Keiv (B/L)

Full day tour of Chornobyl. On the trip, you will learn the facts about the Chornobyl catastrophe and the real effects of radiation and the disaster.

Day 2

Keiv (B)

Morning half day city tour of Keiv and visit its major attractions, Independence Square (Maidan), where all major events in the country take place. Khreschatyk – central street of the city and Mihailov sky Cathedral. Afternoon Boat tour of Dnipro river. In the evening visit the Theater of Opera and Ballet.

Day 3

Keiv (B)

Morning half day city tour of Keiv and visit its major attractions, Independence Square (Maidan), where all major events in the country take place. Khreschatyk – central street of the city and Mihailov sky Cathedral. Afternoon Boat tour of Dnipro river. In the evening visit the Theater of Opera and Ballet.

Day 4

Keiv – Lvin (B)

Today morning visit St. Andrew's Descent, St. Andrew's Cathedral, Keiv Funicular to the top. Later transfer to train station for your train to Lvin. On arrival transfer to the hotel.

Day 5

Lvin (B)

Morning city tour of Lvin and visit famous landmarks like Opera and Ballet Theater, Latin Cathedral, Chapel of the Boim Family, Market Square and many others. Strolling through the cosy cobblestone streets of Lviv.
 

Day 6

Lvin – Odesa (B/D)

Today you will visit The Golden Shore, which is a famous castle in western Ukraine, you will visit Pidhirtsy and Castle Olesko Castle, located in 70km northeast of Lviv and features a large park as well as an eclectic filled with medieval art, religious artefacts and 16th-century furniture. The palace where the Cossack Bohdan Khmelnytsky spent his youngest years. Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant before transfer to the station to catch the overnight train to Odesa.

Day 7

Odesa (B)

Arrival at Odesa and transfer to hotel. Start walking tour of Odesa, you will walk down Primorsky Boulevard, Deribassovskaya Street, and Gogol Street admire the architecture of Tolstoy and Vorontsov palaces and stroll through parks and along seaside promenades. Later transfer to Arcadia beach to relax.

Day 8

Odesa – Keiv (B)

Today go for a half-day tour of the secret underground Odessa Museum and explore the catacombs in the centre of the city, the catacombs were used for smuggling, slave trading and as war bunker. You will experience a full immersion in underground life and visit a real bunker from the Cold War era. Evening transfer to train station for an overnight train to Keiv.

Day 9

Keiv (B)

On arrival transfer to hotel, later go for a half-day tour of Pyrogovo which is the largest ethnographic open-air museum in Europe. Pyrogovo is located on the southern outskirts of Keiv. You will find more than 100 authentic wooden or clay living houses from all regions of Ukraine.

 

Day 10

Keiv (B)

This morning visit Mariyinsky Palace, Gorodetsky House and Lavra Cave Monastery, you will drive by The Ukrainian State Museum and The 'Mother' Motherland statue before driving to the airport.
